I’d love to have skiing be a catalyst for unique, powerful, meaningful experiences with both nature and other humans. "It’s my community here in Montana that keeps me passionate & invested in my life."

As a year-round mountain enthusiast, anything that gets me outside with close company brings me immense joy. I moved to Montana from Sun Valley, Idaho to dive even deeper into the send portal that is the marvelous world of skiing.

I’m incredibly grateful to have now found such a powerfully impactful, loving community to grow together with in all our kooky adventures. Alongside my outdoor pursuits, I create professional visual media of skiing, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, and other business-related needs in Idaho, Montana, and beyond. When the sun is high, I find myself fishing, camping, mountain biking, and laughing with those I love the most.

For me, life is about the joy and gratitude that comes from being outside with a community that loves, supports, and reciprocates everything life has to offer. I’m so stoked to be a Juniper athlete and to collaborate on creative projects, community events, and everything else!

favorite pre-race meal?
Rice & Beans with one (or two) fried eggs. My father is Costa Rican and this was an absolute staple growing up. Bonus points for Lizano sauce.

an unpopular opinion?
"Ketchup is a boring condiment."

At its core, it’s truly my community in Montana that keeps me so passionate and invested in my life here.

Where are you from originally?

Sun Valley, ID

How does movement affect your life?

Skiing has everything to do with why I love Montana! I can commit all of my time and energy into skiing with new friends, in new zones, and creating media that reflects this passion. The incredible variety of terrain at Big Sky, Bridger, & backcountry has a mythical allure that draws me in further and further every year. The community I’ve developed through skiing has turned into deeply rooted family.

Do you have a favorite piece of gear?

Any ski that’s under my feet and keeping me sliding on snow.

How did you get into the sport?

Parents put me in ski school at age 2 which was quite easy being 15 minutes from Sun Valley Resort. Surprisingly enough they never alpine skied themselves! Couldn’t be more happy they had me learn though, definitely a full circle moment.

How do you envision the sport helping build community?

I want to keep pushing myself creatively through skiing and the challenges and triumphs the sport creates. Skiing is going through a massive cultural revival right now (in my opinion). There’s tons of small crews creating passion projects with their friends doing street skiing, backcountry, powder and everything else. They’re in part visual scrapbooks of their friendships, but also passion projects of skiing. These style of projects make me love this community even more and inspire me to create my own type of projects. Every year when a new movie is released I feel connected to their stories and adventures. My goal is to have these projects continually creating meaningful experiences and friendships with my closest friends.

What are your go-to cannabis products right now?

All strains of Juniper flower! I love dry herb vaporizers for their low-impact on performance, so I can keep on skiing, biking, and hiking. I usually have a strong Sativa for energy & a sleepy Indica to recover.
